North Shore
North Shore, Hawaii

Aloha Everyone:

Just a friendly reminder for anyone interested that our beach clean up - which is considered the State's largest - will happen this Saturday, November 3rd @ 8:30am, Velzyland Park. Velzyland Park is about a 1/2 mile up from Sunset Beach (coming from Haleiwa) makai side/on your left. A banner will be posted out front. A pre-clean up meeting will precide the clean up at 8am for distribution of 1500 trash bags and gloves, 400 event shirts, etc. Clean Up area will be from Haleiwa Beach Park to Velzyland as well as Malaekahana. Over 10 miles of beach, roadways and beach parks being cleaned. Clean up will be broken up into 14 sections. A bus will also be available to ease the traffic.

Create by professional surfers, majority of them will be there to help since the surf is predicted to be small that day, as a way to give back to the North Shore community. Our homeboy, Sunny Garcia - will also be at the event. BJ Penn has said he will also attend. So many positive people...with one thing in mind....to keep the country, country and preserve our North Shore Beaches.

I've been getting overwhelmed with positive responses and inquiries. The entire family of the late famous waterman, Eddie Aikau - is coming out in force (25 members) to clean Waimea Bay, which is considered Eddie's homebreak. We'll have other teams from Sam's Club, Primo Beer (yes, it's making a come-back but team is not bringing alcohol) and others - who will have friendly 'environmental' competition on who can clean the most beaches.

So hoping our media friends can make this event with intentions of spreading the word on our mission to protect our ocean and beaches.

Aloha,
