Havering Armed Forces Day June 25, 2011

There will be a parade, organised by Havering Council, through Romford town centre, starting at 10.30am in South Street, going through the market before ending at Tollgate House. This is an excellent opportunity for residents to come and show their support for our armed forces past, present and future.

Help for Heroes and Royal British Legion will have charity stalls in the Market Place.

There will be a Uniformed Youth Festival taking place after the parade between 12.30 and 3.30pm in the Market Place. The will be information stalls from the likes of the Air Cadets and Hornchurch Drum and Trumpet Corp, where you can find out about becoming a youth member or an adult volunteer.

There will be limited access to pay and display parking at the Town Hall during the day. If you wish to park at the Town Hall, you should enter from the Park End Road entrance. For alternative parking in Romford, visit the parking pages at www.havering.gov.uk/parking
