AACSN is proud to host HATWALK 2012 gala. The event celebrates the value of "HATS" and the comfort they bring to cancer patients. This year, AACSN will encourage more numbers of the Asian American community to register as donors.

"Bone marrow donors help save lives." Many fatal blood cancers are treated with bone marrow transplants, if a donor and patient's bone marrow match. Asian patients need Asian donors. Half Asian patients need half Asian donors. The likelihood of a match is very low, and that is why the more people who register as donors, the better chances a life can be saved.

AACSN would like to honor and support the AADP in helping save lives by growing the National donor registry. For every person who gets swabbed at HATWALK gala, AACSN will donate $5 to AADP. Please join us at HATWALK 2012, meet the wonderful hearts behind the AADP, and learn how you can help save a life!"

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktail hour and a silent auction. Dinner will start at 6:00 p.m. with a full program at 7:00 p.m. to include live entertainment from talented pianist Hilda Huang. Hilda is the winner of the 7th International J.S. Bach Competition in Wrzburg, Germany and has performed many times in Carnegie Hall. Guest speaker Vivian Mubani is a mother, author, and cancer survivor, will share her inspirational journey.

There is an exciting raffle drawing, culminating with AACSN's unique fashion show of HATS modeled by volunteers, cancer survivors, and those battling cancer. Some featured fashion designers include Boditecture, Vie Desir By Ennie and Black Cat Hats. Mention "HATWALK" to Black Cat Hats in Los Gatos and 10% proceeds of your hat purchase will be donated to AACSN.
