Come celebrate the fall season October 10th and 11th, 2009, at Bothell’s Country Village! The festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Stroll the grounds decorated with corn stalks, scarecrows and pumpkins. Valentine’s Performing Pigs will be on stage at 1:00 pm Saturday.
Paint a pumpkin and enter the 27th annual Pumpkin Painting Contest. All entries win a prize! You can also enter a Scarecrow Making Contest. Old clothing, straw for stuffing, and heads are provided while supplies last. This activity is free if you leave the scarecrow at Country Village for the contest, or $15.00 if you take it home. The person who builds the best scarecrow wins a $100 gift certificate valid at any Country Village shop or restaurant! The contest runs through the weekend of October 10 & 11, and the winner will be chosen the following week. The festivities will also include one-of-a-kind items made by local artisans, the original Kettle Korn, live glass blowing demonstrations at Urban Forms Design Center and more! Pony rides, train rides, and other entertainment will be available for a nominal fee.
