Writers Bloc Presents

HARRY SHEARER in conversation with STEVE MARTIN

Harry Shearer and Steve Martin are back!!! Harry's new book is his first novel, called "Not Enough Indians." Of course it's funny! Harry's radio program, "Le Show," is the best thing on the radio (Sunday mornings at 10:00, on KCRW). He's a regular in the Christopher Guest movies, from "This is Spinal Tap" to "The Mighty Wind," and the latest, "For Your Consideration," will open shortly. He's a regular on "The Simpsons" as well, but he's really known and appreciated internationally for his continued presence at Writers Bloc. Steve Martin's credits are far too numerous to mention, but we'll give it a try. Our favorites include "Roxanne", "Bowfinger," and "The Jerk," "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid," and about thirty more. We love his pieces in The New Yorker, his novellas, including "Shopgirl" and "The Pleasure of My Company," and are thrilled to learn that he's busy making his play, "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" into a movie.
