Celebrate the world of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter in a scavenger hunt in the museum galleries.
Muggles, witches and wizards are invited to visit the Harvard Museum of Natural History. Pick up an HMNH “Marauder’s Map” to explore hundreds of specimens from wolves to wolfsbane and to test the depth of your knowledge about Harry’s world.
Find Harry's Hedwig and your own messenger owl, seek the sorcerer's stone in the mineral galleries, select your personal patronus from the powerful creatures (wolf, lion, tiger, jaguar, shark) on display. You can even find a delicate glass model of the mysterious herb, wolfsbane (also known as monkshood), used in Harry's potions class, in the ‘Glass Flowers’ gallery. Free with museum admission.
