Harrisburg Salsa's Kick-Off Party for Berks County Salsa Fest! July 22, 2011

Join us at Rookies on 7/22/11 as the Harrisburg Salsa & Rueda Casino Meetup is proud to host the Harrisburg Kick-Off Party for the Berks Salsa Fest!!!

The first annual Berks Salsa Fest will be held August 12 – August 14, 2011 in Berks Couty. The excitement is in the air! It’s going to be a great event so mark your calendars! There is a lot going on that weekend including, but not limited to, workshops, performances, live music, dance competition & a pool party.

It’s all just a short drive from Harrisburg!!! In the meantime, our salsa family from Reading will be coming to Rookies on Friday, July 22, 2011, to get you salsa-motivated in Harrisburg!!! A wonderful guest instructor is in store for you tonight! Don't miss this opportunity from an excellent instructor!

Wanda Holdren is the President of Berks Salsa Fest. She is also the Artistic Director, Founder and Choreographer of Latin Flair, Inc. Her unquenchable thirst for dance has touched the lives of students everywhere. Wanda has traveled all over the world teaching and competing in Latin Dance while developing a strong national and international reputation as one of the most talented and passionate teachers and performers. Wanda has been featured as an instructor and dancer at national events as well as the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress, International Dance Challenge, National Dance Showcase, Olympus Dance Challenge and a finalist in several dance competitions. Wanda will teach a an intermediate salsa class beginning at 8:00 p.m. We request that you come early to register for the class. Registration will begin at 7:45 p.m. Please come early to register! For our beginners, there will also be a beginner’s salsa lesson off to the side, which is included in the cover charge.

Please indicate in the RSVP section if you will be taking Wanda's intermediate class so we can plan accordingly. The intermediate salsa class will be $10.00 per person and the cover charge will be waived. That’s right...free admission if you take the class.

After the class, the dance floor opens up for dancing with great salsa music.

You must be 21 to attend this event. This is a non-smoking event with a strict dress code. Absolutely no sneakers, no sunglasses, no hats, no flip flops and no work boots.

*There is a $5 cover charge for members who RSVP for the event and $7 for non-members and those members who do not RSVP on the Meetup site at www.harrisburgsalsa.com.
