The Tubman Museum's new special exhibition pays homage to Harriet Ross Tubman (1822 - 1913), an African American woman who escaped slavery, and went on to become an abolitionist, a conductor of the Underground Railroad and an activist for the rights of African Americans and women. The exhibit features historic photographs, documents and works of art from the Museum's collection to tell the story of the heroic life and career of Harriet Tubman.
