Harold and Maude is a 1971 film directed by Hal Ashby, with Bud Court, Ruth Gordon, Vivian Pickles. An all-time cult classic, featuring the music of Cat Stevens, is the offbeat love story in which a shy, suicide obsessed twenty-year-old meets a seventy-nine-year-old lady at a funeral where neither of them actually knows the deceased. They soon become best friends and when he announces to his wealthy self-involved mother his intention to marry the lady, he soon discovers she has plans of her own that will change his life forever.
