Hargrave
Hargrave, England CH3 7RN

Six miles south-east of Chester, between the roads to Whitchurch (A41) and Nantwich (A51) lie the villages of Hargrave and Huxley.

Each village has its own Parish Council but they are united under one Ecclesiastical Parish of Hargrave which has encouraged joint activities and a thriving community spirit. This is particularly demonstrated by the annual Happy Days event over the last weekend in June with the highlight being the traditional fete on Saturday afternoon at Hargrave Church field.

A procession of floats parade the two villages on the Saturday and the opening of the fete is marked by the crowning of a Carnival Queen. This also coincides with a Bowling Club match held on the green adjacent to the playing field.

There is a musical event on Friday evening and a barn dance/party/bbq on Saturday evening. The weekend ends with a church service on Sunday evening.

This year in honour of Armed Forces weekend we will be setting up a stall in aid of the BLESMA charity.
