Hardtack & Hardships: Military Life on the Colorado Frontier November 7, 2009

Join Four Mile Historic Park for a day of living history activities as the 1st Colorado Volunteers, the territory's Civil War regiment, and the Buffalo Soldiers, the west's black soldier regiment, set up camp and bring to life the day-to-day lives of soldiers in the west. Demonstrations include how to survive on a soldier's rations, military drills on foot and horseback, forge and woodstove cooking.
