December 19th, 2010 marks the 100th birthday of Jean Genet.

Happy Birthday Jean Genet is a festival in honor of Genet, to bring his work to a new generation of artists and scholars, and to give his existing fans an opportunity to celebrate his art.

This is also a festival intended to bring together the community of artists, creators, and spectators of NYC through an exploration of this great body of work.

All events December 16th-18th will take place in the Aldous Theater at Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (118 North 11th Street, between Berry and Wythe). The December 19th birthday party will be hosted at miniBAR in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn (482 Court Street).
