Hannah Kahn Dance Company: Overlap and Other Dances November 2, 2012

This program features a premiere set to live music, performed by soprano Irene Friedlob and pianist Mutsumi Moteki, and a song cycle by Turina, entitled Poema en Forma de Canciones. The choreography explores the lush and passionate moods of this beautiful music. Overlap is a dance for seven with music by Louis Thomas Hardin (Moondog) and costumes by Janet White. Dancers come and go, co-existing in overlapping sections of the dance phrases, creating fleeting connections which must suffice for interaction.
