The Pacific Chamber Symphony will team up with the Valley Concert Chorale for a very special early version of the most beloved holiday music, Handel's Messiah, on Tuesday evening December 2nd at the wonderful new Bankhead Theater in downtown Livermore.

Pacific Chamber Symphony is the Best of the Bay when it comes to classical music: dynamic Maestro Lawrence Kohl, brilliant musicians, a warm and embracing atmosphere, and inspiring interpretations of the most beautiful music ever written.

The Valley Concert Chorale, under the direction of John Emory Bush, is the Tri-Valleys premier chorus now in its 45th season.

The soloists will be Rebecca Garcia (soprano), Jessica Mariko Deardorff (contralto), Darron Flagg (tenor), and Jeffrey Fields (baritone).

The stunning Livermore soprano, Rebecca Garcia, has performed with the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, the Chautauqua Opera Scenes, the Oberlin Opera Theater, Walnut Creeks Festival Opera, and the Livermore Valley Opera.

Jessica Mariko Deardorff was most recently seen on the Festival Opera stage as Inez (Il trovatore) and Hermia (A Midsummer Night's Dream). Additional performances include Second Lady (Die Zauberflute) with Opera San Jose, Mercedes (Carmen) with Festival Opera and Maddalena (Rigoletto) with Townsend Opera.

Darron Flagg enjoys an ever-growing reputation as an exciting artist and is thrilled to debut this evening with the Pacific Chamber Symphony. Mr. Flagg has performed locally with Livermore Valley Opera, Festival Opera, and Sacramento Opera.

Baritone Jeffrey Fields has performed regularly throughout California as a concert soloist since moving to the Bay Area in 1999. In 1998, he was selected as an Adams Fellow at the Carmel Bach Festival and has had numerous solo appearances there since.

This performance promises to be a very special highlight in this Holiday Season.
