Handel's L'Allegro ed Il Pensieroso April 3, 2009

Opera Lafayette will commemorate the 250th anniversary of Handel’s death with a rare concert performance of his exquisite L’Allegro ed Il Pensieroso, set to the beautiful English poetry of John Milton. This program features sopranos Christine Brandes and Kirsten Blaise, tenor Nicholas Phan, baritone David Newman, and the Opera Lafayette Chorus and Orchestra on period-instruments, Ryan Brown, conductor.
