Hamilton County Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale.

New venue houses larger quantity and selection of plants than in the past

Noblesville, Indiana, April 6, 2010—Hamilton County Master Gardeners will hold their 11th Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 15, in a new, larger location in the Exhibition Hall at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, Noblesville, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Over 6,000 plants including vegetables, trees, perennials and annuals will be for sale to the public. This year will feature an expanded selection of vegetables, trees to order and Indiana native plants. In addition, Bearded Iris will be for sale, dug to order, at the Iris/Daylilly bed on the 4-H grounds.

All plants are grown with care by Master Gardeners, are acclimated to Central Indiana’s climate and are priced well below local garden centers. The day will also include educational presentations covering many aspects of backyard gardening at no charge. As always, Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer any questions and offer expert advice.

Proceeds from the sale support scholarships for students in Hamilton County interested in horticulture-related careers as well as numerous community activities supporting sound horticulture practices in Hamilton County.
