Hamilton County Law Enforcement Memorial Service

What: 26th Annual Hamilton County Law Enforcement Memorial Service honoring fallen police officers.

When: May 2nd, 2007 @ 7:00 P.M.

Where: Carmel Civic Square at the Gazebo.

Background: Police officers from Hamilton and Boone County who have fallen in the line of duty are recognized at this Police Memorial Service every year.

Participants will include City Council President Joe Griffiths, Chief Michael Fogarty from the Carmel Police Department, Chief Richard Russell from the Noblesville Police Department, Major Mike Allen from the Westfield Police Department, and Lieutenant Mike Lepper from the Indiana State Police. Chief Tom Garoffolo from the Lebanon Police Department will be singing “Somebody’s-Someone”. Amy Stehr, a member of Indiana Concerns of Police Survivors, will be the keynote speaker.

Racing Commentator Paul Page will be giving the welcome speech and the Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers will be performing “Amazing Grace”. Carmel High School students Nicholas Calcamuggio and Kyle Borcherding will play “Taps” at the ceremony. Elementary school choirs from College Wood, Mohawk Trails and Towne Meadow will also be performing during this special event.

Members from the following Police Departments will also be participating: Carmel , Fishers, Westfield , Laporte, Noblesville, and Indiana State Police.



The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
