Haldane of the Secret Service (1923) stars the great Harry Houdini himself as Heath Haldane, an agent in pursuit of a gang of notorious counterfeiters, who use traps, chains, and torture to slow him down to no avail. Also screening is the only surviving footage of The Grim Game (1919), another adventure starring Houdini that includes a famously unplanned mid-air collision of two planes.

This is the final showing in a series of free matinee screenings in conjunction with the Museum’s new admission-free first Tuesdays of the month and the exhibition Houdini: Art and Magic.
