14 South Potomac St.
Hagerstown, Maryland 21740

Our special guest and author Shirley Evans has a deep love for the Lord and has served Him for over forty years, which includes eleven years in Aglow leadership. She attended college as a senior citizen, earning a Master's degree in Theology and is an ordained minister of the Gospel. She is presently serving as Director of the Hagerstown Campus of Life Christian University where she also teaches. Shirley and her late husband and ministry partner, Tom, were married for nearly fifty years and have three grown sons. Many of you also remember Tom and Shirley as beloved owners and managers of Shepherd's Table Bookstore.

Shirley will also be talking about her new book titled "In The Shelter Of His Wings" of The True Story of a WWII Bomber Pilot Downed in Enemy Territory by Les Sellers as told to Shirley Evans.

When we say "September 11" a day of horrible tragedy flashes through each of our minds, but Lt. Leslie Sellers experienced his own September 11, many years before the one we all remember so well. On September 11, 1944, during WWII, this fun loving, adventurous 25 year old faced his own day of tragedy and had it not been for his mother's prayers and his God's protection, that date would now be engraved on his tombstone. As you read this book you will relive with Les the paralyzing fear of being down behind enemy lines with no one to rely on but God Himself. This book will change the way you look at life and death and will challenge and empower you to face the enemies in your life with a new understanding of God's awesome presence and love. Shirley will have copies of her book available at the meeting and would be happy to sign them.
