Fresh off their European summer tour with a 4- and 5-star reviews at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Luminescent Orchestrii return to New York City to celebrate the release of their new CD, ?Too Hot To Sleep.? The band?s sound is an explosive mash of Romanian gypsy melodies, punk frenzy, salty tangos, hard rocking klezmer, haunting Balkan harmony, hip-hop beats and Appalachian fiddle, all eaten and spit out by three violins, resophonic guitar, bullhorn harmonica and Mariachi bass.

Sxip Shirey of the Luminescent Orchestri is the creator and host of the ?King Gypsy Rocker Massive? parties that galvanized the gypsy and Balkan music scene in New York City. These events and the band itself have been highlighted in The New York Times, The London Times and on BBC Radio this year. The upcoming CD release party marks the inaugural event of his new monthly international music rave-up party, ?Push!Push? that is set to pick up where ?King Gypsy? left off with a wider international lineup.

Hungry March Band is a 25-piece brass march band rolling out the sounds of New Orleans, gypsy/roma, India, jazz, latin, klezmer, punk and hip hop. Village Voice calls them "the best anarchist parade group"!
