A horticultural and design day-long seminar, garden visit and wine reception for designers and clients; seasoned home gardeners and beginners. In design language, we often talk about the bones of the garden. If a garden has good bones, then it is a good garden, we say. Digging deeper, this seminar will talk about the underpinnings, the guts that make a well-designed garden, a really good garden. This discussion is not aimed just at beginners but at those of us who have been at it for a long time, and would benefit from stepping back and reviewing the process and the results. Speakers include Environmental Designer Lisa Lee Benjamin, Landscape Architect Karla Dakin, John Ossa of Irrigation Essentials, Mark Rogero of Concreteworks, Henry DeFauw of DeFauw Design & Fabrication, Nursery owner Flora Grubb and Landscape Architect Roderick Wyllie.
This horticultural and design seminar is presented by the Garden Conservancy and the Ruth Bancroft Garden. It is cosponsored by Pacific Horticulture magazine and the Gardens at Heather Farm, with additional support from the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show and the Urban Farmer Store in San Francisco.

Registration fee includes lunch and wine reception. Online registration.
