Narrated by John Holod.

During the summer of 2005 the gulf coast was devastated by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Despite the destruction there are still beautiful places to visit and wonderful things to experience. The people living here are the most hospitable on earth and their stories will warm your heart. They are working to rebuild their beautiful coast and you can help by paying a visit and putting some much needed tourism dollars back into the economy. This 1700-mile adventure begins at Sanibel Island FL and ends at Padre Island TX. Along the way we observe an amazing array of birds, mammals, marine life, flora, fauna, and let you experience the lives of hard working gulf coast residents. The story of the gulf coast is one of courage and compassion, come along for the ride!
