Hello, and thank you all for viewing this thread.

Guitarclash.com is hosting a Guitar Hero III video game tournament in Atlanta, Georgia at the World Congress Center in room A311. You can easily catch the Marta train and get off right at the World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta. All ages may come and participate!

Time: The tournament will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2008. It will begin at 11 a.m. (starting with the under 13 events) and proceed to continue into the other events for that day. The room is booked all the way until midnight so if need be the tournament can continue until then.

Our tournament will have a $20 entry fee per event. There is a $10 fee if you would only like to be a spectator and not participate in any events. For any child attending our event the guardian accompanying them will receive one fee spectator's pass. The winner will receive 70% of the allotted entry fee funds for that event. The second place will receive 30%, along with sponsored prizes as well. This will be same day payouts! Our tournaments will be double elimination.

We will be offering the following events below:

Battle: Easy (Under 12 Only), Medium, Hard, and Expert (PS2 or Xbox 360)

Face Off: Easy (Under 12 Only), Medium, Hard, and Expert (Ps2 or Xbox 360)

Pro Face Off: Easy (Under 12 Only) Medium, Hard, and Expert (PS2 or Xbox 360)

If enough time is left:

Co-op: Medium, Hard, and Expert

By default all the tournaments will be played on Xbox 360s. The only tournament that will be played separately on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 2 will be the Expert tournaments only. The easy tournaments are only for people under the age of 12. Remember, there will be two separate tournaments for PS2 and Xbox 360 Expert Tournaments.

Users are allowed to enter multiple tournaments if they would like. We have our tournament format in this style to encourage everyone to participate. Remember, if your tournament begins in medium, it will end on medium, no need to worry about it advancing to a harder rank.

Hyperspeed mode is allowed only if both participants agree on it at the beginning of the match. By default the tournament is bring your own guitar . We will have a few available for use however. All equipment must be pre-approved by a judge before use. No wireless foot pedals to activate star power or any other devices like that.

The tournaments are scheduled to be double elimination but if there are time constraints, it may be changed to single elimination if needed. It will be best two out of three songs. The first song will be chosen by the winner of a coin toss. The second song will be chosen by the loser of the coin toss. The third round (if needed) will be hand picked from random out of a basket by the judge (or chosen directly by a judge). Only a select list of approved songs will be selectable.
