The route will take you into some of the most interesting areas of the Wye Valley with amazing scenery. You will walk from Redbrook by the river Wye to Whitebrook then track the stream up the valley past ruined paper mills before climbing some steps into Colonel's Park Wood. The route will take you back over the old Railway bridge and up to Newland with its impressive church (the Cathedral of the Forest) and alms houses established by William Jones of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, before descending towards the Redbrook Swan pool and then up to the famous Buckstone. The route returns via the Kymin Naval Temple with its magnificent views of Monmouth and the Welsh mountains.

There are some steep uphill sections on this route so it is designated as hard. But you will be rewarded with some amazing scenery.
