The Royal Air Forces Association, Grimsby & Cleethorpes Branch, are hosting a Parade, Memorial Service and Reception on 27 June.
The Parade will form up in Cleethorpes Market Place at 13.30 hours.
Leading the Parade will be the RAF College Cranwell Marching Band.
Followed by the Standards and Veterans of ALL Service Organisations.
The Parade will be followed at the rear by the Car (Alvis) which belonged to Douglas Bader (World War II Fighter Pilot).
At 1400 hours the Parade will leave Cleethorpes Market Place and March up Alexandra Road to the Strike Wing Memorial (Statue of Navigator - near Ross Castle and the Point.)
By Cleethorpes Library, there will be a saluting dais, taking the salute will be:

Air Commodore N.W. Gammon, MA MSc BSc CEng FRAeS FCMI RAF Commandant DCAE RAF Cosford, with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Of Lincolnshire, Accompanied by the Mayor and Mayoress of North East Lincolnshire.

At the Strike Wing Memorial there will be a Memorial Service conducted by the Reverend Ian Walker (OCF) Retired. During which there will be wreath laying.

At 14.30 there will be a Flypast - Aircraft type yet to be confirmed.
Followed by Receptions at the RAFA and RNA Clubs opposite for all Veterans. WILL ALL VETERANS PLEASE COME ALONG AND SUPPORT THIS EVENT!
WEAR YOUR VETERANS BADGES AND MEDALS WITH PRIDE!!!
