It all started 2 years ago. They claimed that 2-step was dead but from it's ashes rose a new sound that refused to be ignored. Call it grime, call it dubstep - regardless, the bass was heavy and needed to be shared... and the B.I.G. Crew was formed to bring it to light. We named the party Grime City because that was our goal, to turn this town into a city of grime - of low end and massive beats. If you've experienced the crazy shit that goes down at our events, then you know what's up.

History has spoken - it's time to celebrate!

THE 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Part One

Featuring local dubstep heroes:
ROOMMATE (Argon, BBS, Heavy Pressure/Full Melt/Six6Six/Babylon System) www.myspace.com/roommie
Roommate is an animal! His tireless efforts in both production and mixing have currently brought him to the forefront of American dubstep. For the past 2 years, Roommate has been consistantly pushing the production envelope with his unique and upfront style. Forthcoming releases on rising U.S. labels such as: Full Melt, Argon, Heavy Pressure, Breakbeat Science and Six6Six (UK), make Roommate a sure bet in the future of dubstep. Expect a HEAVY, dance friendly vibe rooted deeply in the dub fashion with plenty of original material to nice up the dance.

JUS WAN (Future Breaks FM) www.myspace.com/juswan www.futurebreaks.fm
As a youth in Denver, CO in 1995, Jus Wan (fka Just:One) developed a passion for the scattered beats and pulsing bass of the era's UK imported jungle and drum 'n bass. In 2000, winding up in San Francisco after a long transcontinental journey, an association with Betalounge.com exposed him to the emerging sounds of 2step and broken beat. This lead to him founding the internet radio station Flux.fm in 2002, and joining the ranks at Futurebreaks.fm, San Francisco's longest running electronic music radio show in 2003. He continues to seek out syncopated bass music as well as working on his own productions. Expect a varied set of everything from uptempo technoid stompers to glitched out low end rumblers.
