The American labor movement has given us a rich heritage of songs that reflect the lives of the people - men and women, black and white, native American and foreign born, who built our country. The songs deal with every aspect of life in the mines, mills, factories, shops and farms where they labored, telling of working conditions, and their struggle to achieve a better life, and their dream of handing this legacy on to their children. Historian and musician Gregg Kimball, along with Sheryl Warner and Jackie Frost, will sing and discuss the songs that grew out of the American Labor Movement, and played a major part in shaping American history.

Doors open 7:15, refreshments will be served.
