Greenmarket Talk & Taste: An afternoon discussion on local food, farming and seasonal eating October 3, 2009

Come watch a cooking demonstration by Greenmarket staff members, taste the fall bounty and discuss what kind of effect the Greenmarket has had on New Yorkers and regional farming over the past 33 years. Since 1976, the Greenmarket has been operating farmers markets in New York City, now with 49 markets throughout the five boroughs. Greenmarket is a program of the Council on the Environment of New York City (CENYC). Since 1976, their staff, volunteers and farmers have been working together to promote regional agriculture, preserve farmland and ensure a continuing supply of fresh, local produce for all New Yorkers.
