Greenford Armed Forces Day June 27, 2009

Details:
We are holding a Parade and March to our War Memorial where there will be a brief Service and Salute followed by an open day at our Club where there will be demonstrations and stands from the three services, H4H, Fire Brigade and many others.
We are also publishing a full-colour booklet (A5, 24 pages) aimed mostly at schools, and are printing three postcards of paintings by a member artist to raise further funds.
Attendance has been confirmed by the Mayor, an Army Colonel, an RAF Station Commander, our present and ex MP as well as our members, hundreds of Cadets, Scouts, Guides and the March will be led by army vehicles and a police motorcycle escort. It will be followed by a motorcycle rally, all to the music of a large brass band.
Parking is available opposite the Cenotaph, the Club is fully wheelchair-friendly, food and drink will be provided (some by our Gurkha members), so, although we are still building the event, it is set to be hugely successful.
