The North West Construction Knowledge Hub will mark the launch of CUBE's 'Brighter Futures' Exhibition by hosting a lively debate on Green Lighting - chaired by Fred Talbot, television presenter. CUBE is a partner of the University of Salford's School of the Built Environment.

Taking place on Tuesday 23 March, the event will explore green lighting options and new lighting technologies; in particular solid state lighting, whilst highlighting the potential energy savings and significant reduction of carbon emissions.

The expert panel will be made up of; a contractor, property developer, public sector project manager, designer, lighting specifier and lighting manufacturer. Each panel guest will give a short "elevator pitch" style introduction on their understanding of low-energy lighting and their own contribution, the chair will then pose a number of questions to the panel, concluding with an audience debate.
