Green Drinks DC event tonight is cancelled September 11, 2007

Hi Everyone,



I hate to say this but I've got to cancel tonight's Green Drinks event due to the first rain in how many months? Uncanny!



I corresponded with Dani Williams-Jones, the Dining Coordinator for Poste Brasserie and she seems to agree that the chances of continued rain are too high for an outdoor event. They close off the patio section under these conditions. And as I mentioned in this months invitation, the inside of Poste is too small to accommodate our growing group.



I'm so sorry for this late notice but I was hoping to see the skies clear~ that's not happening at the moment. Then again, I'm sure the instant I hit 'send' the sun will begin to shine.



Forecast says: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm during the evening. Chance of rain 90%. Clear after midnight. So who's up for a midnight drink at Poste?



Many apologies and I will miss seeing everyone again and meeting all the new members.



Stay tuned for an October bash~ It will have to be a big one to make up for tonights cancellation.
