Featured Presentation:

Our featured presenter is Gerry Ellis, founder and Executive Director of GLOBIO, a children’s education non-profit. GLOBIO creates online resources and learning activities that increase children’s interest in and understanding of our world, encouraging them to become better global citizens and environmental stewards. GLOBIO's main program, Glossopedia, is a free online encyclopedia of life, that offers one-of-a-kind videos and photos, wild interactive learning activities and silly jokes: www.globio.org. GLOBIO is collaborating with Ranger Rick to develop online content to complement their children’s magazine.

Gerry is a former naturalist and nature photographer with over twenty years' experience documenting plants and animals from all over the globe for clients including National Geographic, the BBC and the Discovery Channel.

GREEN DRINKS DETAILS:

Every month people who are interested in environmental issues and topics meet up for beers at informal sessions known as Green Drinks. These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.
