WHAT IS A SOLUTIONS SALON?

Dialogue. Inspiration. Community. A “Solutions Salon” is more than your typical panel discussion. It’s a chance to ask hard questions and deal thoughtfully with some of Oakland’s biggest problems... and opportunities. For this event, we'll be discussing "Green-Collar" jobs: Can Oakland become a national leader in providing living-wage jobs in environmentally friendly enterprises? Join us and be part of the solution!

WHAT IS THE OAKLAND APOLLO ALLIANCE?

The Oakland Apollo Alliance is a coalition of labor unions, environmentalists, and community organizations working to create high quality jobs in the modern energy economy, revitalize underserved communities and improve the environment.

The Oakland Apollo Alliance is convened and staffed by the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and IBEW Local 595 (Electrical Workers Union). For more about the event and the Oakland Apollo Alliance, e-mail Ian Kim at [email protected].
