Volunteer for the Green Challenge 07-09 kick-off at Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge on July 7, 2007! Volunteering is FREE but an RSVP is required.

Volunteers will help remove invasive weeds on the upland habitat adjacent to the Environmental Education Center and re-vegetate 10 acres of the area. They also will remove trash from the salt marsh and salt pond habitats adjacent to Guadalupe Slough.

The meeting location for both projects will be at the Environmental Education Center in Alviso. There will be no shade, so please bring water, a hat and sunscreen!

Additional Green Challenge kick-off projects include Save the Bay at Eden Landing Ecological Reserve in Hayward, Save the Bay at the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve in Palo Alto and a Creek Cleanup on the San Francisquito Creek in Palo Alto.
