Great Sports Legends Dinner September 24, 2012

Bob Costas will return as emcee for the 27th Annual 'Great Sports Legends Dinner,' which honors philanthropic heroes and sports legends to benefit The Buoniconti Fund and The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The organization was founded by NFL Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti after his son Marc sustained a spinal cord injury during a college football game. Paying tribute to two philanthropic heroes and legendary sports figures,The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis will honor Alonzo Mourning, famed NBA Player and NBA Championship Winner, with the Buoniconti Fund Award. Emilio Estefan, Grammy Award Winning Musician and Producer, will be presented with The Outstanding Business Leader Award at this year's awards dinner. Other notable honorees include Shaquille O'Neal, Bob Costas, Joe Torre, Mark Martin, Lisa Leslie, and others, with a performance by Earth, Wind & Fire.
