Dan Wilkins, a researcher from the department, will give a half-hour talk about astronomy starting promptly at 7:15pm. This is followed by a public observing session on the observatory lawns, using both historical and modern telescopes on site if (and only if!) the weather is clear. If it is cloudy, a short tea break will be followed by another talk. If you wish to only attend the observing, you are welcome at the telescopes on the observatory lawns after 7:45pm.
Entry is free, and no pre-booking is required. The talk is suitable for ages 8+. Talk, site and all but one telescope are accessible.
