Grapes with the Apes September 23, 2010

You may have been to a number of wine tasting, but have you ever been to one that had animals? Enjoy fine wines at the Great Ape House during the Zoo’s annual wine tasting event and hang out with the apes after hours. Your ticket will get you a commemorative wine glass and free tastings from approximately 20 vineyards, including: Barefoot Bubbly, Phillip Carter Winery, Willowcroft Farm Vineyards, First Colony Winery, and Potomac Point Winery. With a VIP pass, you’ll enjoy a pre-party in Think Tank with an animal demonstration, and access to a private area with a bar serving full glasses of wine, champagne tasting, and hors d’oeuvres. VIP tickets are $70 for members and $85 for nonmembers; regular tickets are $35 for members and $50 for nonmembers. Tickets will go on sale August 2nd. Buy early because this event sells out quickly.
