It wouldn’t be summer without the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival presented each year by the Grant Park Conservancy. With a juried and a non-juried Artist Market, two stages of live music, an amazing Sunday Farmers Market, plenty to eat and drink and special areas for kids, the Summer Shade Festival welcomes visitors to enjoy one of Atlanta’s most beautiful public greenspaces.

Summer Shade begins each year with the Adams Realtors 5K Run for the Park, allowing runners and walkers to enjoy the historic neighborhood on foot. During the festival, Atlanta’s best chefs will be found at Corks & Forks: A Fine Food & Wine Event, where attendees will also get to sample wines and beers from around the world as well as participate in cooking demos and wine seminars. Select chefs at Corks & Forks will compete in the second annual Steak Cook-Off, showing off their grilling skills on meat from White Oak Pastures.

From families looking for the next great puppet show to adults hoping to whoop it up one last time before fall
begins, the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival makes a great way to spend a whole weekend in the great
outdoors.
