Grant Park Music Festival: Mahler's 2nd Symphony "Resurrection" August 20, 2010

This masterpiece by Mahler is among music’s most monumental experiences ending with a transcendent vision that the English scholar Philip Barford compared to “the image of a ladder up which humanity can climb to heaven.” This program is also a special celebration of Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar's 10th Season with the Grant Park Music Festival.
