Grand Prix of Edmonton Champ Car World Series July 14, 2005

World-class championship racing featuring an international line-up of drivers, teams and sponsors from seven countries, participating in 14 events. The race will take place at Finning International Speedway at the City Centre Airport which will be transformed into a 1.9 mile temporary road circuit. Open-wheeled race cars will speed past the grandstands at over 200 mph. The configuration of the track is unique to Edmonton, allowing at least 80 per cent of the track to be seen from the grandstands, so spectators are able to see more of the race for longer periods of time.
