The Grand Avenue Festival takes place this Saturday, October 8
from 11 am to 5 pm in Downtown LA. Grand Avenue between
Temple and 3rd streets will be closed to traffic. Enjoy free music,
art, opera, theater and dance performances, as well as drum and
dance lessons, storytelling and a scavenger hunt. Plus over 10
restaurants will be selling tasty creations at the Taste of Downtown LA.
Park for just $1 at the Central Library at 630 W. 5th Street,
entrance off Flower just past 5th Street. You must have a valid
library card to get the $1 validated rate. Don't have a card?
Just bring proof of residency to show to the Library staff to

Once you've parked at the Library, it's a short hike up
Grand Avenue to the Festival! Exit the Library onto 5th Street,
take the escalators next to the Spanish Steps, then follow
Hope Place to Grand Avenue. Walk up Grand Avenue to
Third Street to the beginning of the street activity. Red
pennant flags will be hung from pole to pole to help
you find your way.
