Mat Brooke, former guitarist for Band of Horses, leads this radiant and melodic indie rock project from Seattle. Grand Archives boasts rollicking guitar bursts, four-and-five-part harmonies, trombone, violin, slide guitar, cello, flugelhorn, and "judicious whistling."
