Gov't Mule is a Southern rock band formed in 1994 as an Allman Brothers Band side project by Warren Haynes and Allen Woody. The band features members of the Allman Brothers and has continued on even after the death of bassist Allen Woody. Besides Haynes, who is number 23 on Rolling Stone's list of 'The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time,' the band includes Matt Abts, Danny Louis and Jorgen Carlsson.
