Gotham Girls Roller Derby (GGRD) rolls out the third game of the season between the as yet unpaired Brooklyn Bombshells and the Bronx Gridlock at the Schwartz Center at the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University on Saturday, July 22nd.

At June’s sold out game, Gotham’s Brooklyn Bombshells sunk the Queens of Pain (former undefeated 2005 Season Champions) in white knuckle fight to the finish. At this next matchup, the rookie cabbies from the Bronx are ready to take on the soggy sailorettes and show them why they shouldn’t play in traffic.

The infamous Schwartz Center offers bleacher seating, VIP seating and as always the coveted trackside spots. All previous 2006 games have sold out and hundreds have been turned away, so eager fans should buy their tickets early online at or in person at Live Fast on Delancy between Stanton and Rivington.

The game will take place at the Schwartz Athletic Center at the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University, located at 1 University Plaza (B/M/Q/R train to DeKalb Ave. or the 2/3/4/5 train to Nevins St.). The doors open at 7:30pm and the game will start at 8:30pm sharp.

What About the Rest of the Season Dates?
GGRD is still gypsy-like and on the search for a home to call their own. The dedicated Gotham ladies need your help to find a crash pad for their games and practices. Warehouses, clubs, athletic centers...if you know of a flat, dry, indoor location to skate, please contact [email protected]. In addition to an actual location, the league is for sponsors and partners who are willing to help make their dream of a permanent CrashPad come true. If you know of anyone who wants to hook up with the baddest girls of the big apple, let them know.
