Storytellers, fiction writers and BS artists sought for the first edition of the Northern Liberties' story slam on Monday, Oct. 30th on second floor of Standard Tap (901 N. 2nd St.). Ten contestants, five-minute time limit each (about 600-800 words). Contestants judged by audience on delivery and substance. $5 entry fee for contestants only, proceeds go to top three performers. Scary stories get bonus points since it's Halloween. Contestant sign up starts promptly at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m.. For more information, write [email protected].
