The Gorge Angel Conference is an educational, investment and networking event for angel investors and early stage entrepreneurs. Early stage companies will compete for a minimum pooled investment prize of $100,000. The Selection Committee, made up of the group of investors, will be reviewing and judging each application in search of the best investment opportunity. Companies must have good growth and profit potential. Early stage deals are preferred. Companies should be seeking capital within the range of $100,000 to $1,000,000 and planning to locate in the Columbia River Gorge region. $100,000 investment anticipated by GAIN2 LLC

Three companies will be selected to present at the conference. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and feedback by a panel ofangel investors. A winner will be selected and announced during lunch. The investment will be funded upon the completion of due diligence. Companies not selected to make a full presentation may have an opportunity to present a one minute pitch at the conference.

Keynote Speaker Bio: Doug Fieldhouse, CEO Vesta

Doug Fieldhouse was a founding investor in Vesta in 1995 and was appointed president and chief executive officer in May 1997. Prior to Vesta, Doug spent 15 years engaged in building and leading businesses in the US, Europe, and Asia. His experiences include building and operating law firms, international non-profits, and high-tech enterprises. He has worked closely with a number of Fortune 500 companies and leading international financial institutions. Since joining Vesta, Doug has been recognized as an entrepreneur, leader and innovator. Most recently, he received the 2008 Entrepreneurship Award for Individual Achievement, was selected as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 finalist in the Pacific Northwest and has been previously recognized by Computerworld, Fast Company, and Inc. magazines. He is a featured author in Smart Business Growth, a book by CEOs of fast-growing companies on strategies and methods behind successful growth. Doug spends his free time working with early stage companies and has been an active angel investor for the past decade. He holds two US patents and earned a BA degree in International Relations from Antioch College.
