Gordon Henderson, a third-generation stained glass artist from a Scottish family whose artistic presence in the United States dates back to 1872, acquired portions of various stained glass studios' contents, thus preserving and documenting many of the major trends and innovations of American stained glass design of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
