Gootter Grand Slam March 26, 2011

The 6th Annual Gootter Grand Slam weekend will take place on March 26th and 27th, 2010. The annual two day event has raised over $1.5 million to be used to endow the Steven M. Gootter research Chair for the Prevention and Treatment of Sudden Cardiac Death at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center. The festivities kick off at Skyline Country Club for a gala dinner honoring Alfie and Allan Norville, generous benefactors of many good causes including the Gootter Foundation. The evening will feature an International Culinary Feast buffet and an exciting live auction. The main event – The Gootter Grand Slam, begins at Reffkin Tennis Center on Sunday, March 27th at 9am with a doubles tournament featuring local player action. At noon, the focus shifts to center court for an exciting pro-celebrity challenge match featuring 8 time Grand Slam Champion Mats Wilander, former world top 10 ranked singles player; Mikael Pernfors, and UA Head Football Coach Mike Stoops.
