TERRY VERNIXX is based in New Mexico. He started out in the rock-n-roll world in the early 90's as the original drummer for the Dallas band, The Toadies. Soon after, he was seduced by House & Techno in the Portland Oregon rave scene.

He Djed at hundreds of house parties, illegal gatherings, warehouse Raves, and club residencies in the Southwestern US from 1996-2001. Originally know as DJ STRETCHY, he started using his own name in 2001 when he moved to North Carolina. He began tailoring original electronic musical hybrids of House, Techno, and Progressive. He co-hosted the wildly popular Saturday night FM radio show RPM on WZMB in Greenville North Carolina from 2002-2003.

He's been recognized internationally with headlining DJ playlistings as well as dance-radio airplay on BBC Radio One, Ministry of Sound, Frisky, voNYC, Sirius Area 33, and various XM Radio shows. He won WRVU FM's Remixer Of The Year Award in 2006. He moved from Carolina to Oklahoma in 2004. He founded the digital electronic music label MOVER MUSIC in January of 2007 with label partner Matthew Mocean. After several long term club residencies in Tulsa and Stillwater, he relocated to his permanent home base of Albuquerque in late 2007.

His internet radio program, HIGH DESERT RHYTHMS, is broadcast every Saturday night on lowercasesounds.com (8pm to 11pm Central US Time).

He represents exclusive promotional music for the techno labels EARRESISTABLE, JESUS LOVED YOU, LIMIKOLA, REBIRTH, SIXTEENOFIVE, CIRCLE, M_NUS, COCOON, VEZOTONIK, ASTRODISCO, INTACTO, RENDER OBEDIENCE, and FLOW MANAGEMENT. His musical collaborations as PLETHORA & VERNIXX with production partner ANGELA MARIA PLETHORA range from Deep House to Profressive. His solo music is solid dancefloor techno. Entertaining as a disc jockey since 1989, making mixtapes for friends since 1984, and hailing originally from missouri, tres' musical journey has taken him from his roots in the early st. louis house scene, to colorado where he formed an alliance with dj harry. Los angeles, however, was where tres met up with blair and marcus of higher ground, quickly becoming friends. Together they started promoting and rockin' the house at parties on the LA underground scene. In late 2001, tres moved to omaha, nebraska- a place with an under-developed house music presence. It wasn't too long before tres seized this opportunity, hooked up with fellow househeads, started throwing parties in the area, and ventured into broadcasting on the internet. Three years later, he started lowercasesounds.com with some friends. He has been regularly playing sunday evenings on lowercasesounds.com for 5 years, and myhouse-yourhouse.net every other sunday morning since early 2009.

tres has played amazing parties with some of the best djs in the underground house community; including miguel migs, kenny hawkes, iz, jonene, solar, alexander east, jonn hawley, marcus aurelius, romano arcaini(latenight society), terry vernixx, sleazy mcqueen, uriah west, j.caprice(high maintenance), and dj remedy.

Early in 2009, tres and his friend dirwood started lowercase sounds, the label, to release their own tunes, as well as their friends music. He is constantly working to find new artists, and he continues to produce. With tracks out on lowercase sounds, juiced!, and round house, you can be sure we will continue to hear more from this veteran of house music.
