Golf Classic to Benefit United Way

The 5th Annual United Way Golf Classic, co-chaired by Steve and Mickey Lowe, leads the list of fall 2007 campaign special events Friday, September 28 at Meadowbrook Golf Course. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a noon shotgun start.

"We have a committed group of volunteers dedicated to making this an enjoyable and successful community event," said Steve. Mickey added, “We hope the Golf Classic will enhance awareness of the many conditions that need funding to make positive changes in our community."

A limited number of four-person golf team entries are available at $400 per team. Hole/tee sponsors are available for $100. The team entry fee includes lunch, beverages, green fees, cart, and range balls.

Prizes for the Florida best ball scramble event will be awarded to first, second and last places following the Classic. There are no handicap restrictions. In addition, door prizes will be given at the awards ceremony.
